EXIM Bank distributed Zakat among street children

EXIM Bank distributed Zakat to the street children under initiative of Bangladesh Bank on July 7, 2015.

Chief Guest M mahfuzur Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, distributed Zakat at Emmanuelle’s (Gulshan) through a Zakat distribution program of EXIM Bank.

EXIM Bank Managing Director & CEO Dr Mohammed Haider Ali Miah presided over the program. DMDs of EXIM Bank M Sirajul Islam, Sirajul Hoque Miah, Khondoker Rumy Ehsanul Huq, Md. Feroz Hossahin, High officials of Bangladesh Bank and EXIM Bank were also present in the mentioned program.

Chief Guest, M. mahfuzur Rahman, highly appreciated and praised this initiative of EXIIM Bank and urged other banks to follow in the footsteps of EXIM Bank.

In the program, around 1000 street children were given Zakat through organizations like JAGO foundation, Sheikh Russel destitute children training and rehabilitation centre, Kendrio Khelaghor Asar, Blooms Specialized School, Swapnobaz, Bangladesh Path Nari- Shisu Kolyan Society. School Bag, Umbrella and Tiffin Box are also presented to the Children. (Source: Press Release)
