South Bangla Agriculture & Commerce
(SBAC) Bank Limited has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on
electronic government procurement (e-GP) system with the Central Procurement
Technical Unit (CPTU) of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division
(IMED) under Ministry of Planning of Government of Bangladesh.
As a member bank, SBAC Bank will act as
an e-payment service provider to provide services like
registration/re-registration of Bidders/Tenders, sale Tender Documents etc. On
behalf of Government enlisted Procuring Agencies and Procuring Entities.
IMED Secretary Md. Shahid Ullah Khanaker
chaired the function as the chief guest
while Md. Shawkat Ali, Deputy
Managing Director of SBAC Bank and Faruque Hossain Director General of Central
Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the ministry of signed the MOU on behalf
of their respective organizations.
Md.
Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director & CEO of SBAC Bank and other senior
officials from both the organization were also present during the signing
