In
response to a call from the authorities of Bangladesh Bank, IFIC Bank Limited
has donated Tk 8.0 Lac for earthquake victims of Nepal.
Acting
Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of IFIC Bank Mr. S.M. Abdul Hamid
and Deputy Managing Director Mr. Shah Md. Mainuddin handed over the cheque to
Ambassador of Nepal in Bangladesh H. E. Mr. Hari Kumar Shrestha on Monday at a
handing over ceremony at a city hotel.
Governor
of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman was the Chief Guest in the ceremony while
Deputy Governor Mr. S.K. Sur Chowdhury, Executive Director Mr. M Mahfuzur
Rahman, Chairmen and Managing Directors of different commercial banks and
non-bank financial institutions were also present during the program.
It may be mentioned that IFIC Bank earlier
donated Tk 15.0 Lac through Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) for the
earthquake victims of Nepal. (Source: press release)
