A
seminar on ‘‘Alternative Dispute Resolution and Out of Court Settlement in
Banking Industry” was organized by Mercantile Bank Limited for its senior
management and executives on Saturday, June 06, 2015.
In
understanding arbitration as a consensual process of dispute resolution the
seminar was conducted with the active support from Bangladesh International
Arbitration Centre (BIAC), the first international arbitration institution of
the country. The objective of the seminar was for senior management of the bank
to comprehend the implications, benefits and the way forward on ADR in
resolving pending suits through out of court settlement.
Honorable
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank Limited Al-Haj Akram
Hussain (Humayun) inaugurated the daylong seminar and highlighted the necessity
& importance of the seminar in his inaugural speech. Among others, Managing
Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. M. Ehsanul Haque and other senior Executives
were also present in the seminar.
