ONE Bank Limited, a leading private
sector commercial bank of Bangladesh has been contributing towards the welfare
of the people since its inception. As a part of its CSR activities, ONE Bank
arranged a Scholarship Giving Ceremony for the poor but meritorious students of
various educational institutions of Brahmanbaria, Sherpur, Sylhet, Islampur and
Laldighirpar on June 16, 2015 at Pouro Community Centre, Brahmanbaria.
Mr.
M Fakhrul Alam, Managing Director of the Bank distributed the scholarships
among the recipients. In the beginning, Mr. Wakar Hasan, Deputy Managing Director
of the Bank, made his welcome speech. Mr. M Fakhrul Alam in his speech;
informed the audience that primarily as a part of the Bank’s social
responsibility, ONE Bank has been working as a co-partner towards the
development and welfare of the society by ensuring education for financially
insecured yet meritorious students for spreading the light of education. This
initiative, on one hand, will ensure the establishment of the educational right
of the scholarship recipients and on the other hand, they will contribute to
the society’s development with their earned knowledge. Among others, Bank’s
high officials, parents of the scholarship recipients, and elites of the
